Terms
Short version · last updated 4 October 2026
These terms are between you and Max Wilson, trading as Monch, in Scotland. By using Monch you agree to them. Questions: support@monch.cooking.
Monch
Monch helps a household keep recipes, plan meals and share a shopping list. Everything you add is shared with the people in your household.
Free week and subscriptions
- Each new household gets 7 days free. No card is needed.
- After that, planning and editing need a subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price shown when you subscribe. One subscription covers the whole household.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time in Household → Subscription; you keep access until the end of the time you've paid for.
- Payments are taken by Stripe. If a price changes, we'll tell you before it applies to you.
- Without a subscription nothing is deleted: you can still view and cook your recipes, and delete them or your account.
Your recipes and photos
What you add stays yours. You let Monch store it and show it to your household so the service works. Please only add photos and text you have the right to use.
Fair use
Don't misuse Monch: no attempts to break in, overload it, or use it to harm anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.
If something goes wrong
We work to keep Monch running and your data safe, but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Check recipes yourself for allergens and cooking times. Nothing in these terms affects your rights as a consumer under UK law.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time (Household → Account). If we ever close Monch, we'll give you notice and a way to get a copy of your recipes.
Law
These terms are governed by Scots law. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your own country's courts.
Changes
If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and tell you about anything important.
